MATERI PRAKTIKUM SIM-SEARCH ENGINE

Kuliah praktek SIM tanggal 18 Maret 2011 yang utama adalah membahas tentang search engine.
Ada beberapa search engine, yaitu GOOGLE, YAHOO!, dan bing.
Search engine yang sering digunakan adalah GOOGLE. Alasannya adalah karena GOOGLE memiliki keakuratan dan ketepatan data yang lebih dari pada search engine lainnya. GOOGLE juga lebih unggul dalam penyimpanan databasenya.
Selain itu, jika kita mengklik "saya lagi baruntung" pada halaman utama, maka GOOGLE akan secara otomatis mengarahkan kita ke halaman terkait yang paling sering diakses.
Jika kita menambahkan /ig di belakang google pada waktu membuka halaman pertama kali, maka yang akan muncul adalah tampilan GOOGLE seperti YAHOO!
Ketepatan hasil pencarian juga tergantung pada keyword yang kita masukkan. Semakin spesifik kita memasukkan keyword, maka hasil yang akan keluar juga semakin pasti.

Jika dibandingkan dengan GOOGLE, bing memang lebih unggul dalam hal tampilan home, karena bing menyajikan informasi mengenai background di setiap tampilan home yang berbeda-beda. Namun jika kita membandingkan keakuratan data, GOOGLE masih lebih unggul dalam hal ini.

This tutorial will help you get started with Microsoft Excel and may solve some of your problems, but it is a very good idea to use the Help Files that come with Microsoft Excel , or go to Microsoft's web site located at http://microsoft.com/office/excel/default.htm for further assistance.

Starting Microsoft Excel

1. Double click on the Microsoft Excel icon on the desktop.


2. Click on Start --> Programs --> Microsoft Excel

Creating Formulas

1. Click the cell that you want to enter the formula.
2. Type = (an equal sign).
3. Click the Function Button
4. Select the formula you want and step through the on-screen instructions

Adding Borders and Shading to Cells

1. Make sure you have the Formatting toolbar visible
   • Click on View --> Toolbars --> Formatting
2. Select cells you wish to format by left clicking on them and highlighting them
3. Click the button to shade a cell and/or the to give a cell a border

Inserting A Chart

1. Select over the text you want to make your chart with
   
2. Click Insert --> Chart
   
3. Select the type of chart you want
   
4. Confirm or change your data range
5. Update the Chart Options
   
6. Select if you want to put it into the current worksheet or into a new worksheet
